🏛️ State License Law 📍 Georgia

📖 What you need to know

Agency relationships in Georgia are governed by the Brokerage Relationships in Real Estate Transactions Act (BRRETA), which defines the duties brokers and licensees owe to clients and customers. Georgia permits both designated agency, where a broker assigns different licensees within the same firm to represent the buyer and the seller, and consensual dual agency, where one broker or licensee represents both parties with their informed written consent. These arrangements must be disclosed and agreed to so that clients understand the scope and limits of the representation they are receiving.
