Indiana Licensing: Broker Entry-Level Under the IREC

Indiana · State License Law — free study notes for the real estate licensing exam.

🏛️ State License Law 📍 Indiana

📖 What you need to know

Indiana real estate licensing is governed by the Indiana Real Estate Commission (IREC), which operates under the state's Professional Licensing Agency (PLA). Indiana does not issue a separate "salesperson" license; the entry-level license is the Broker license, which requires completing 90 hours of approved pre-licensing education and passing the state exam. A newly licensed broker cannot work independently and must be associated with and supervised by a Managing Broker, who is responsible for overseeing the broker's real estate activities.
