📖 What you need to know

Real estate licensing in Pennsylvania is administered by the State Real Estate Commission within the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (BPOA) under the Department of State. To qualify for a salesperson license, an applicant must complete 75 hours of approved pre-licensing education (a 30-hour Real Estate Fundamentals course plus a 45-hour Real Estate Practice course) and pass the licensing exam. A salesperson cannot act independently and must be employed by and work under the direct supervision of a licensed real estate broker, who is responsible for the salesperson's professional conduct.
