🏛️ State License Law 📍 Colorado

📖 What you need to know

Colorado real estate licensing is administered by the Division of Real Estate within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), overseen by the Colorado Real Estate Commission. Unlike most states, Colorado licenses everyone as a 'broker' (there is no separate 'salesperson' license), requiring 168 hours of approved pre-licensing education plus passing the state and national exam portions. New licensees are issued an Associate Broker license and must work under an Employing Broker, who is responsible for supervising the associate's transactions and maintaining trust accounts and records.
