📖 What you need to know

In North Carolina, brokers must deposit client and customer trust money, such as earnest money, into a separate trust or escrow account and never commingle it with personal or firm operating funds. The Broker-in-Charge is responsible for proper handling of these funds. Licenses must be renewed annually, and to remain on active status brokers must complete the required continuing education each license year.
